Rebecca Storz Bio

Rebecca Storz is an Omaha muralist, ceramicist, and sculptor. She is a partner, with Richard Harrison, in A Midsmmer’s Mural company. She graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with an art history degree in 2013. At UNO, Rebecca was the president of the Organization for the Advancement of the Arts, UNO’s student art association. Rebecca interned at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in 2012 and with muralist Dave Lowenstein in 2013 on the mural “Working Together Towards A People’s Art” in Hastings, Nebraska. It was the last of 6 murals done for the MidAmerica Arts Alliance Mural Project. She serves on the board of the Community Built Association Conference, and through CBA assisted Caryl Yasko, a pioneer in the community mural movement, with a mural in downtown Davis, CA. Her mural design work includes lead artist on: the Nebraska Odyssey Mural, the 13th Street Mural, the Murdock Museum Mural in Murdock NE, and the Irish Community Mural. She has taught ceramics and currently produces custom tiles in her studio on a commission basis. Her work can be seen at amidsummersmural.com and southomahamuralproject.com.
