NEW TESTAMENT MURALS

These murals were a joy to paint. I started sketching them late at night when I was sad that the world is full of too much fighting and not enough sharing. I was listening to playful and beautiful Christmas music and thinking about how Jesus tried to show us how to care for each other in a more beautiful way. I started with the sketch of Jesus welcoming the Children and thought about how we are all very different in this world but the love Jesus has for us and the ways of caring for each other that he taught us can bring us all together. So I painted Jesus in all colors and everybody else in just one color, and kept that going through all the murals. I wanted the kids who saw these murals to feel a part of the stories so I made the whole experience a time travel adventure. When Jesus walks the kids back to the time machine he reminds them that he is with us always.

FAITH WESTWOOD TIME TRAVELERS

Kids at Faith West-Wood have built a time machine. They are excited to go back and visit Jesus and seethe things he did.
